Drama Fun in the Holidays!

In the first week of the April holidays we are running a programme for children aged 6 to 10 years.* Do let your friends know! The programme will be held at St Oswald’s Church Hall, 193 Campbell Road, One Tree Hill, from Monday, 22nd to Wednesday, 24th April. Each session will run for three hours, from 9:00 am to 12:00 noon each morning.

As with all our classes, we will be focussing on helping our children to develop self-confidence and speak clearly. Above all, our drama classes are great fun! Participation in the Holiday programme is also recognised through our special Commitment Awards.

The special Holiday Programme price for existing students is $100 total for the 3 days. The fee for new children is $110. Please help us to introduce our programme to new families. If a new family enrols through the introduction of an existing family, we will reduce your fee by 25%, so you pay only $75!

To enrol, please phone me on (09) 836 0233. See you there!
* Minimum class size of 10 required.

How We Are Different

I was talking to one of the Mothers of a new student today and I asked her why she chose to send her daughter to our programme. Well she gave me a list of reasons and she was right on the button. It reminded me of how we are different. I posted the following item on our Facebook page and we had such a positive response I thought it was worth repeating here.

Points of Difference at Helen O'Grady Drama Academy

Full curriculum that is not repeated in 4 years

Every class has a proper lesson plan

Classes are operated to ensure a structure and a safe and fun environment.

Curriculum is fully developed and used internationally

Trained teachers with wide experience and recognized qualifications

Students are not required to buy uniforms or T shirts

No prior experience or interest in drama is required

No exams or hurdles to jump, students grow at their pace

The emphasis is on life skills and not performing arts

Trial programme allows a try before you buy

It's true that we focus on self-development skills for children and young adults. Yes, we do some acting, mime and movement and speech, but the emphasis is not on being a star or the next best thing on stage. It's about being who you want to be and growing, in a fun environment.
